CORSHAM got back to winning ways last weekend with a crushing seven-wicket victory over Weston-super-Mare.

Pete Dennett’s side, who had won four on the trot before losing at Downend and seeing their game against Ashcott & Shapwick rained off on July 19, swept aside Weston at Station Road, dismissing their opponents for just 107 before cruising to 109-3 in just over 20 overs.

In the Glos/Wilts Division, Westbury’s woes continued as they suffered a 68-run loss at Rockhampton.

Guy Brothwood’s unbeaten century (108) put the home side in control, with Rockhampton posting 262-7, before Alex Senneck’s men, who remain in the bottom two, were dismissed for 194 early in the 48th over.

Meanwhile, Warminster were beaten by five wickets at Swindon, despite Desmond Kruger and Richard Davie hitting 76 and 65 respectively.

Tom Davie’s men were skittled for 212 in their final over but the hosts’ Vibhor Yadav hit an unbeaten 97 as Swindon reached 216-5 early in the 45th over.

In the Wiltshire Division, Trowbridge slipped to a miserable defeat at bottom-of-the-table Devizes, who brought their own nine-match losing run to an end.

Mark Banham took 4-18 as Trowbridge were skittled for just 65 in 32 overs, before Devizes’ Joe Wookey hit an unbeaten 37 to guide his team to 68-2 in just over 21 overs.

There was also disappointment for Winsley, who suffered an eleven-run loss at the hands of Marlborough.
