WARMINSTER-BASED Bath wing Semesa Rokoduguni has been named in England's squad for the forthcoming November internationals against New Zealand, South Africa, Samoa and Australia.

The 27 year old, a lance corporal with the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards who still lives in digs in Warminster, has been included in the 33-man squad at the expense of Saracens' Chris Ashton.

And England head coach Stuart Lancaster has refused to rule out throwing the Fiji-born flyer into the fray for the opening match against New Zealand

Lancaster told Sky Sports News said: "We have certainly discussed that.

"When you are looking for balance in your backline he comes into the equation. For his collision and his ability to beat players. He's a finisher as well."

Lancaster added: "We're keen to get working with him because he's been outstanding for Bath.

"When you lose someone like Manu, Roko comes into the equation because of his impact in collisions, his ability to beat defenders and carry the ball over the gainline. He's a finisher as well."

Bath's Jonathan Joseph has been included after Lancaster lost Leicester's Manu Tuilagi to injury, while centre partner Kyle Eastmond, fly-half George Ford and forwards Davey Wilson, Rob Webber and Dave Attwood are also named.

Former Wootton Bassett youngster Jonny May, of Gloucester, is also among the squad, which will meet at Pennyhill Park on Sunday ahead of the opening fixture against New Zealand on November 8.

Asked about Bath's recent failed attempt to sign Steffon Armitage from Toulon, Lancaster said: "If it had happened it would have been great, although Steffon would have had to work hard to get into our squad. It hasn't happened which is a shame. Now we will have to see how it plays out."
