BRADFORD Town manager Paul Shanley said that they got what they deserved after a lethargic start on Saturday.

Town found themselves 1-0 down inside the first 10 minutes of the game.

However the team rallied and with just ten minutes remaining a Jack Hopper strike was enough to salvage a deserved point.

“We started off a bit slow and a bit sluggish and found ourselves deservedly 1-0 down,” said Shanley.

“I think we created the better chances and we worked their keeper and managed to get the point.

“The pleasing thing from my point of view is that the players never gave up and they got their rewards at the end and I think overall a draw was the right result.

“We have been on a decent run and we knew it was going to be a difficult game.

“I think we are twelfth in the league and have played eight of the top 12 teams so I am happy.”

Town are still to hear whether their tie with Winterbourne United will have to be replayed, after it was abandoned due to fog with Town leading 6-0.
