BRADFORD on Avon head coach Dave George was pleased to see his side get a first Southern Counties South win under their belts and saluted their try-scoring exploits as they won their basement battle at South Marston.

George saluted a dominant performance from his men as they ensured Supermarine’s winless run continued with three tries in each half.

Wing Alex Baker, full-back Charlie Holton and centre Josh Felix got the visitors off to a flying start, Felix adding a conversion.

Their domination continued after the break as flanker Tom Dewhurst, wing Ben Shepard and centre Jarvis Conybear touched down, Felix adding a further conversion to wrap up the triumph.

George said: “We’re relieved to get our first win. We were dominant all game and could have scored more if our set-piece had been more efficient.

“Our defence was strong throughout and we can take this into the next game. We’ve also now scored ten tries in our last two matches.

“We have three very tough games in a row now – Sherborne, Saisbury and Swanage & Wareham but we must concentrate on performance, rather than the results in these games.’’
