TOUCH wood, Adrian Foster is hoping that he’s easing towards finally having a fully-fit Frome Town squad to choose from.

The Robins have been beset by injuries and suspensions all season but with just midfielders Jon Vance, Matt Smith and Ben Worlock currently ruled out, manager Foster is hoping that there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

“I might finally be able to pick from everyone soon – I haven’t been able to do that all season,” said the Badgers Hill boss.

“Even in the first game of pre-season, I wasn’t able to do that and it would be great if I could finally do that.

“We have got three midfielders out but the players that have come in have done well and hopefully we can get them back soon.”

Frome drew 1-1 at home with Slough Town last weekend, with midfielder Brandon Mundy firing home his first goal of the season early in the second half before the visitors’ Scott Harris’ looping header levelled things up.

Following Saturday’s home stalemate and last week’s derby victory over Paulton Rovers, Foster senses that the confidence is creeping back in to his side.

The Robins chief said: “We haven’t been playing badly. In a few games, we’ve been poor, but on our day, we’re decent.

“I know that it’s only two games but I think the confidence is starting to come back a bit more.

“A draw was a fair result on Saturday. Even though I thought we shaded it on chances – Darren Chitty didn’t really have a save to make – they were a big, physical, powerful side and 1-1 was fair.”

Frome’s clash with Weymouth on Wednesday was postponed due to the Terras’ midweek FA Trophy involvement, the Dorset side losing 5-0 at Conference South giants Havant & Waterlooville in a first round proper replay on Tuesday night.

Foster takes his side to fifth-placed St Neots Town tomorrow.

“We’re not going there to get a point – we’re going to win the game. We’ve had them watched and if we play well and take our chances, we can get the result,” said the Robins manager.
