WESTBURY United chief Shaun Gardiner hopes Saturday’s derby date at home to Warminster Town can inspire them to turn their form around.
Third-from-bottom United fell to a fourth straight league defeat at Welton Rovers last weekend and have won just once in all competitions in the last three months.
Gardiner said: “If we can’t get up for that one, we can’t get up for anything.
“We’re all looking forward to it. It should be a really good game and hopefully we’ll get a few people there.
“We have got a few games against people around us now so it’s an important spell.”
Westbury started well enough against Welton but fell behind on the stroke half-time after a shot deflected into the path of Anthony Conradi to poke home.
Steve Bridges made it 2-0 midway through the second half and Tim Reynolds put the result beyond doubt late on.
Gardiner added: “I think the scoreline was a bit harsh.
“In the first 40 minutes we played really well but they had a shot that came off a defender and it fell straight to a striker to score.
“The second goal came after a slip from a defender and I thought the third was offside.
“When you’re at the bottom of the league those things always seem to happen to you. We’re just not getting the luck at the moment.”
