BRADFORD delivered another timely boost to their Southern Counties South survival hopes as they maintained their unbeaten start to 2015.

Dave George’s men clinched back to back victories for the first time this season to close up on the rivals above them in the table.

Bradford trailed 7-0 to a catch and drive from a lineout by the visitors but their defence was in good form all afternoon and the responded when a crossfield kick by Tom King was fielded and full-back Charlie Holton went over for the score.

With both sides being penalised at the break down it took a Josh Felix smash-tackle to bring about the second score, scrum-half Tom Wheatley going over under the posts for a try that Felix converted.

Bradford sealed the victory when King chipped over the top and Felix gathered to send Andy Kehoe over, Felix adding the extras.

George said: “We defended like demons really, but both sides actually defended pretty well. That was important at the end when we prevented them from getting a bonus point.

“The boys are buoyed up and confident at the moment. We’re unbeaten in 2015 so far so we’re giving ourselves a chance.’’
