FROME Town manager Adrian Foster is desperate to see his side pick up some points to haul some of the teams teetering above them into the Evo-Stik League Southern Premier Division relegation dogfight.

The Robins find themselves fourth from bottom in the table following Wednesday night’s 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Dunstable Town and are just three points ahead of Arlesey Town in the relegation zone.

Foster’s men did pick up a point on Saturday as Rhys Baggridge’s injury time strike earned them a 1-1 draw at home to Chesham United but the Badgers Hill boss is in no doubt that his players need to begin grinding out results.

“We need points, period,” said Foster.

“We need to try and nick a few results because we need to try and drag some more teams into the relegation picture. Three will go down and we need to make it between six or seven teams, rather than four.

“We didn’t deserve to lose on Wednesday but we didn’t take our chances. We’ve got to go to Corby this weekend, who’ve just beaten Weymouth 5-1. But we went there last season and won when they were on a good run, so we’ve got to try and nick a result.”

Experienced ex-Aldershot Town defender Anthony Tonkin could make his Frome debut at Corby Town tomorrow.
