MELKSHAM went third in Dorset & Wilts One North with a comfortable bonus-point success over Cricklade.
Fly-half Simon Foster dummied his way over for the first try before scrum-half Callum Hunr pounced on a loose ball and Foster converted.
Cricklade hit back with a penalty try but two more home scores followed with Scott Davis powering in and Chris Mulgrew going over out wide.
Nick Suter’s break set up Phil Stone for the first try of the second half and, after Cricklade had a converted try and penalty, Mulgrew went in for his second.
The try of the match saw the ball first taken out wide then switched back inside for Suter to score, Foster converting.
Cricklade added another but Callum Gillard rounded things off for Melksham.
Skipper Hurn said: “We worked hard to settle into our game against a disruptive visiting pack and built the score to lead at half time.
“Cricklade didn’t lie down and came back at us but we regained our momentum, with some flowing handling producing the tries to seal the game.’’
