STEEPLE Ashton's James Vince has been included in England's one-day side to take on Ireland next month.
The Hampshire batsman, who previously played with both Warminster and Chippenham, is included in a young visiting side, with none of England's Test side available for the May 8 fixture in Dublin and regular skipper Eoin Morgan on Indian Premier League duty.
The 24 year old former Warminster School pupil has seemingly been on the verge of England honours for years and finally has his chance to prove his many advocates right.
He has captaincy experience at Hampshire, is established across all three formats and already has 80 List A matches with 2,574 runs to his name.
