WARMINSTER Town battled back from two goals down at Portishead Town to bring their four-match winless run to an end on Tuesday.

James Griffiths and Ollie Trevarthen scored to put the Somerset hosts in control at Bristol Road but a brace from Jack Miluk and a Tom Welch goal saw Andy Crabtree’s men turn the match on its head to clinch a hard-earned 3-2 win on the road.

On Saturday, Warminster shared the spoils with Roman Glass St George at Weymouth Street.

Midfielder Welch was on target again, whilst Stewart Lisowski also found the net for the Red and Blacks but the two teams played out a 2-2 draw, with Kehinde Oni and Jacob Reader on target for Roman Glass.

Warminster, who are 16th in the Toolstation League First Division table, have three matches remaining before the conclusion of their campaign, starting with a trip to bottom-of-the-table Bishop Sutton next weekend.
