ARGENTINA winger Horacio Agulla is to leave Bath Rugby at the end of the season, the club have confirmed today.

Agulla has been capped 63 times by the Pumas and helped them reach the semi-finals of the World Cup in both 2007 and 2015.

The 31-year-old joined Bath in 2012 from Aviva Premiership rivals Leicester Tigers, having arrived in England from French side Brive two years earlier.

Agulla proved himself a hit with Bath supporters thanks to his abrasive style of play and has scored 23 tries in 67 appearances in the Blue, Black and White.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I leave Bath but now is the right time for me to look at other opportunities and experiences that will be good for me and my young family,” said Agulla.

“Bath has been a brilliant place for us and we’re going to miss all the friends we’ve made here.”

Bath head coach Mike Ford added: “It’s been a pleasure coaching Ringo these past few years.

“He’s a true professional and his character is reflected in the way he plays, which is why he’s been so popular with Bath and Argentina supporters alike.

“We wish him the best of luck in the next step of his career.”
