BATH Rugby have confirmed the signing of Samoan scrum-half Kahn Fotuali’i from Aviva Premiership rivals Northampton Saints for the 2016/17 season.
A consistent, skilful half-back, Fotuali’i is dynamic around the field, and a clever manager of the game. He has a huge wealth of experience to call on, having previously represented the Crusaders in Super Rugby and Welsh regional side Ospreys.
He made his try-scoring, match-winning debut for Samoa in 2010 against Japan, and has gone on to represent his nation a further 27 times to date, most recently at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Fotuali’i said: “I’m really excited to be joining Bath. They have an exciting, attacking ethos, which I’m looking forward to being part of, and I really like the focus that is put on individual development of players.
"You can always continue to learn as a player, so I’m looking forward to getting started and preparing for the season ahead.”
Bath first-team coach Toby Booth added: “Kahn is a fantastic player, and a serious competitor who loves to win. This, along with his experience, will bring added leadership and competitiveness to our squad, which will no doubt push it forward.”
