FROME Town were unable to seek revenge on Dorchester Town for last month’s 4-0 drubbing as they lost 3-0 last night.

The early stages were fairly even, with Frome having the best of the opening exchanges when Corby Moore shot wide.

However, the home side went closest to breaking the deadlock in the 16th as a Lewis Morgan header from a Tom Blair cross thudded against the Frome crossbar.

As the game wore on it was clear Dorchester were in the driving seat and they took the lead in the 25th minute when captain Jake Smeeton found the top corner with a free-kick.

Dorchester doubled their advantage in the 37th as the linesman flagged for a penalty allowing Smeeton to get his second of the game.

It then went from bad to worse for Frome as Corby Moore was shown two quick fire yellow cards, the first for dissent and the second for simulation.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, for long periods, Frome had the better of the second half and strung together more attacking than the home side who obviously had the two goal cushion to defend.

Sadly for Frome they were unable to make the most of these long spells of pressure because of the earlier red card.

As the end of the game drew closer, the level of frustration among the visitors was clear to see.

After another inconsistent decision the Frome manager, Josh Jeffries was sent to the stands after a bad night at the office.

Just as they thought it couldn’t get any worse, Dorchester added a third when David Jerrard lifted the ball into the net in the 87th minute.
