A SEVENTH win of the season for Warminster Town A saw them move up to third place in the Division Two standings.
Rob McFarran’s teams picked up maximum points thanks to a 4-1 triumph over Melksham Town B.
Liam Gibbens' ninth-minute free kick saw Warminster make the perfect start.
The hosts increased their lead on 26 minutes, Justin Tugwell’s neat finish from 12 yards making it 2-0 and just seven minutes later Gibbens scored his second of the afternoon, the prolific striker latching onto a well-placed Leon Lloyd through ball to make it 3-0.
Sam Tallis pulled a goal back for Melksham in the second period, but it was just a consolation as Gibbens, after being brought down in the area, picked himself up and scored the resulting penalty to claim his third and Warminster’s fourth of the game.
The Stiffs may have taken a 1-0 lead at Aces FC but that was their only highlight in a match that saw them defeated 7-1 and finish with 10 players after they had Adam Stevens sent off.
Keith Quadling’s goal for the Stiffs was cancelled out by Ben Reed and with Sean Adderley scoring for Aces it gave them a 2-1 interval lead.
Andy Rhead heaped more misery on the Stiffs with a second half double, both Reed and Adderley added to their first-half goals before Dan Hatcher wrapped up victory for Aces with their seventh of the afternoon.
