CALNE Eagles kept up their promotion push with a 3-1 win at the expense of fellow high-flyers Trowbridge Town A.

Calne opened their account after 12 minutes through top-scorer Mickey Taraskevics, who latched onto Danny Heap’s ball before firing past goalkeeper Luke Taylor, and Taraskevics’ cross was put into his own net by a Trowbridge defender to make it 2-0.

In the second half, Trowbridge up their game and pulled a goal back through Conor Green, who hammered home from 10 yards after Calne had failed to clear from a long throw, but the Eagles restored their two-goal advantage from the penalty spot, Adam Welch dispatching from 12 yards after Jordan Winter had been brought down.

Aces extended their unbeaten run to five matches thanks to a 3-2 victory at home to Trowbridge Wanderers Development, with all the goals coming in an entertaining first 45 minutes. Craig Hillier’s double and an Andre Rebieno own goal won it for Aces, with Myles Woodward and Max Bouguard on target for Wanderers.

Three goals in each half saw Bradford Town Youth claim a 6-0 victory away at Melksham Town B.

Will Jones, Ciaran Taylor and Dexter Chipeni notched in the first period and then Taylor went on to complete his hat-trick, with Chipeni also bagging himself a second of the afternoon.

Warminster Town A avenged their 5-4 defeat to the Stiffs back in October by defeating their opponents 4-2 in Steeple Ashton.

The Stiff’s Chris Giles and Warminster’s Liam Gibbens both netted two goals apiece in the first period but there was still time for Adam Clark to give the visitors the lead, with Leon Lloyd rounding things off in the second period.

Leaders Three Daggers stretched their unbeaten run to 11 matches by thrashing Zeals 9-1.

Phil Hampson led the way with a hat-trick while Martin Johnson bagged a brace, with Michael Johnson, Joe Moloney, Shaun Sheppard and Ryan Underwood all also getting in on the act.

Matt Carter hit Zeals’ consolation goal.
