GREENE KING IPA Championside side Ealing Trailfinders have strengthened their backline by signing fly-half Rory Jennings on a dual contract from Bath.

Jennings is a product of the Bath Academy and has featured in the Bath matchday squad six times, as well as for Bath United in the Aviva A-League. As well as fly-half he is comfortable playing at inside centre.

"I'm really happy to have signed with Ealing Trailfinders,” Jennings said. "I'm looking forward to doing my best to help the team maintain their momentum this season in the league and cup.

"The set-up here is impressive and I hope I can get some game time and use what I have learned at Bath to help the club progress this season.”

The Oxford-born number 10 has won nine caps for England U20s and was first choice fly-half when England reached the 2015 U20 World Championship final. He kicked a conversion and three penalties as England lost 21-16 to New Zealand in the final.

The 21-year-old has previous experience of life in the Greene King IPA Championship having spent time on loan with Jersey Reds in 2015-16 and London Scottish this season.

"It is fantastic to be able to bring in a player of Rory's calibre at this stage of the season,” Director of Rugby Ben Ward said.

"He hasn't played much this season, so it will be good for Rory to enjoy some game time and he is another quality addition to add competition to the fly-half and centre positions.”
