WEST Wilts handed their GoCrea8 League Conference North survival bid a handsome boost as they clinched a 2-1 win at promotion-chasing Swindon.

Playing their third away game in succession, the visitors settled well early on, with the front three of James Baker, Mark Brothers and Toby Dorgan creating several opportunities.

Baker took advantage of one short corner to give his side the lead.

In the second half, Swindon continued to press high, which allowed acres of space for the Wilts forwards to exploit.

A superb aerial out of the back from Nick Lemon led to Baker and Brothers playing triangles around the defence and goalkeeper for Brothers to slot home his sixth goal in four games.

Swindon pulled a goal back but with standout performances from Matt Elloway and Alex Arnold, Wilts were able to stay out in front.
