MELKSHAM Town hit Clevedon Town for six as they wrapped up all three points at Oakfields this weekend.

Darren Perin’s men were handed an early advantage when the visitors had Glen Hayer sent off in the 26th minute.

Mike Perrott was then able to put the home side ahead when he latched onto Ben Thomson’s cross, before Gary Higdon made it 2-0 six minutes into time added on.

Sam Jordan then claimed two goals in the space of five minutes as Melksham were four goals to the good by the hour mark. Joe Stradling added a fifth, before Higdon rounded off the scoring with his second of the game in the 90th minute.

Bradford Town also enjoyed a high scoring win as put five past Chipping Sodbury Town in a clinical away win.

The Bobcats were also handed a numerical advantage when the hosts were reduced to 10 men in the first half.

Karim Rendall notched twice, while Kane Simpson, Rickie Scott and Laurent Davies all weighed in with solitary efforts.

In the Toolstation League First Division, it wasn’t such an enjoyable day for Malmesbury Victoria as they lost 5-1 to Chard Town.
