VETERAN defender Gary Horgan will stay at Chippenham Town for their assault on National League South next season after agreeing new terms with the Hardenhuish Park club.

Horgan, 40, will combine a coaching role at the club with his playing duties after helping the Bluebirds to the Southern League Premier Division title this season.

He joins new boy Jason Matthews in assisting Collier and assistant boss Tom Jones plot Town's campaign.

Collier said: "Following discussions with Horgs, he has agreed to join the coaching staff alongside his playing role.

"His experience proved invaluable last season and I am personally happy to have retained his services.

"Both Gary and Jason will have added responsibilities to their player status and for now complete the backroom staff make-up.''
