CORSHAM’S Stephanie Millward qualified for the World Para Swimming Championships in Mexico City later this year.
Millward, who trains in the London 2012 Legacy Pool in Bath, claimed fourth place in the Women’s MC 100m with a time of 1:14.99 on Wednesday night, earning her 920 points.
However her time was slightly slower than her qualifying time of 1:14.47 in the heats in the morning, which would have been fast enough for a podium finish.
The 35-year-old double Rio 2016 Paralympic champion took the Women’s MC 400m freestyle title at the Championships in Sheffield on Wednesday morning, with a time of four minutes 51.11 seconds and a total of 892 points to go second in this year’s S8 world rankings.
The Corsham swimmer also qualified for the Women’s MC 100m freestyle final, after finishing with a time of 1:07.31, collecting a further 888 points.
