BRADFORD Town’s unbeaten reached its 11th game at the weekend as they came from behind to beat Clevedon Town 2-1 away from home.
Sam Jordan and Rickie Scott were both on target in a win which took Danny Greaves’ troops up to third in the Toolstation League Premier Division table.
“It was another tough game against Clevedon, who I consider to be a tough side, so I’m pleased we came away with another three points,” said Greaves.
“It took a lucky goal in the last minute, but I think we deserved it from the game.
“This is the first time this season we have been a goal down in a league game so it’s good to see that reaction from the players.”
While the Bobcats claimed another good win, they will now have to prepare for life without goalkeeper Jamie Bartlett, who is on leave from the club due to a career in the Royal Air Force.
Greaves, who is a former goalkeeper, says there is no chance he will be putting the gloves back on and that the club will have a suitable replacement for their starting keeper lined up.
“Saturday was his last game and he’s been at the club for about four years now,” he added.
“For me, being an ex-goalkeeper, I think he is by far the best goalkeeper in this league and he should be playing higher.
“Unfortunately, he is unavailable for a period of time because of his career.
"I definitely don’t want to put the gloves back on, we have got options because we knew this was coming from the start of the season, it was just a matter of when it was going to .”
