A SUPER show from goalkeeper Kyle Phillips and his defence prevented Kettering taking home all three points as Frome Town earned a Southern League Premier Division point at home.

Frome took a 2-1 lead in the 78th minute through Joe Raynes, but Kettering quickly equalised through Aaron O’Connor to ensure honours were even.

Frome started well and created several chances before they took the lead in the 14th minute as George Miller ghosted into the Kettering six-yard box to head home a Jon Davies free kick.

Kettering equalised in the 35th minute as Kris Miller did well to break up a swift counter attack, only for his clearance to be charged down and O’Connor scored his first as he scored from a tight angle.

The second half mainly saw Kettering throw everything at Frome, but with Phillips in inspired form and pulling off save after save, Frome made it 2-1 against the run of play in the 78th minute as Raynes slid in to finish off a low Davies cross.

But Kettering immediately equalised a minute later as O’Connor headed home his second of the game from a corner, Phillips’ saves preserving the home side's point.
