BATH Rugby have confirmed that winger Levi Davis has signed an Academy contract with the club.

Davis has been a regular in the Bath United team this season and scored on his first-team debut in the 26-22 victory against London Irish last month.

The player said: “I’m really excited to agree a contract with Bath Rugby. I’ve seen the likes of Beno Obano and Zach Mercer step up from the Academy, which is a real focus for me.

"I’m really focused now on getting my head down, learning as much as I can to help me develop, and taking any opportunities when they come along.

“The culture here is really special and all the backs are keen to help, which will only aid my understanding going forward and that is really exciting for me.

“I’m in an environment where I’m learning from the likes of Anthony Watson and Semesa Rokoduguni and I couldn’t think of a better place for me to develop as a player.”

Academy Manager Andy Rock added: “Levi is a player with huge potential and we’ve seen in glimpses what he can offer. He has shown his speed and eye for the try line, and I’ve no doubt that he can become a big asset for Bath Rugby moving forwards.”

Bath Academy prop, Will Vaughan, has been dual-registered with Yorkshire Carnegie and prop Sam Nixon and back Rory Jennings have been dual-registered with Rotherham Titans, to continue their development through game time.
