STOCKTON & Codford had to beat Melksham Town A for a second time in four days if they were to remain in the title race.

With Freshford United picking up their three points from their postponed game with Three Daggers, Stockton, who won 6-1 on Tuesday night, followed up that success with a 3-0 win to move level on points with Freshford at the summit.

Sam Dufosee’s third-minute effort gave Stockton a 1-0 half-time lead.

Sam McEntee doubled the lead on 56 minutes and the game was made safe in the 86th minute when goalkeeper Tom Lucas scored his third penalty of the season to wrap up a quick-fire double over the reigning champions.

Hilperton United hosted near-neighbours Trowbridge Town Reserves and thanks to second win in four days they have all book guaranteed their top-flight survival for another season.

Hilperton, who beat Semington 3-1 on Tuesday evening, beat Trowbridge by the same scoreline.

After a goalless first half, Saul Johnson put Trowbridge ahead shortly after the restart.

Tom Blackman restored parity for Hilperton, Graham Griffiths put them ahead and Steve Ball completed the turnaround with his fifth goal of the season.
