DIVISION One champions Freshford United suffered a final-day loss at last term's champions Melksham Town A.

Eddie Swain and Tom Thomson were on target for Melksham in a first half that saw Nick Ross net for Freshford.

A second from Ross got Freshford back on level terms and it was looking as if the points would be shared.

But with five minutes remaining Adam Dhinsa, who had played the first 80 minutes in goal before being replaced by Dave Jenkins, set up Sam Robinson, who netted to earn Melksham a 3-2 success.

A 3-3 draw for Luxol St Andrews at Warminster Town Reserves was good enough for them to clinch the runners up spot.

Eben Mortimer-Taylor with two and Ashley Caws scored for Warminster while Luxol’s goals came from Adam Potter who scored from the penalty spot, Jordan Gullis who headed home a Ryan Bodman corner and Bodman himself when he rose highest to nod home a Lukasz Bareja corner.
