CRICKET: Winsley are the new Wiltshire indoor cricket champions.
The village side, who are the Chippenham Indoor Cricket League champions, won the Wiltshire competition between the county’s four regional indoor league winners on Sunday.
The six players, Rob Murphy, Robbie Holton, Charlie Holton, Neil Hussey, Simon Orchard and Neil Harris, all made key contributions over the course of a tense semi-final win over Wootton Bassett and a final victory over Burbage and Easton Royal .
Winsley now go on to face the Welsh champions in Chippenham on February 22 for a place in the south regional final at Taunton in March.
