Stow, from East Knoyle near Warminster, carded a level par round of 71 at the Glasgow-Gailes Links to lie tied 44th.
County teammates Ben and Josh Loughrey (Wrag barn) and Jordan Smith (Bowood) were also in action, with the older Loughrey shooting 73 at Royal Troon and Josh managing 78th at Glasgow-Gailes.
Smith also has work to do after an 80 at Royal Troon.
The players swapped courses for the final strokeplay qualifying round today, with the top 64 and ties progressing to the matchplay stage of the competition.
