Three Wiltshire athletes performed well at the English Schools' Combined Events Championships at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.
Lucy Averill of St John's School, Cheryl Bray of Dauntsey's School and Hannah Claydon of St John's School took on high-class opposition from around the country.
Lucy and Cheryl competed in the senior girls' heptathlon with Lucy finishing 13th and Cheryl ending 25th in a field of 32 athletes.
Hannah competed in the junior girls' pentathlon and finished 35th out of 41 athletes.
Next year Hannah will move up to the heptathlon and face the challenge of the increased number of events. All three girls had qualified to represent Wiltshire through the South West Schools' Combined Events Championships, held earlier in the season.
