LAURIE Canter has put himself in a great position to become a regular member of the European Tour.

The Cumberwell Park pro goes into the sixth and final round at Q School tomorrow morning in tied 12th position with a score of 10-under-par for the week.

Canter knows that a tied 25th place finish at the PGA Catalunya Golf Resort this week will earn him a category 15 European Tour card for 2016.

The 26-year-old produced his best round of the week today as he shot a four-under 68 after picking up birdies on two, 10, 12 and 13.

Canter could be joined in the top 25 by Wrag Barn pro Josh Loughrey after he produced his best round of the week – again shooting a four-under 68.

The 25-year-old has climbed 20 places up the leaderboard to tied 31st and one shot outside that magic 25th spot.

Loughrey, who finished second in the order of merit on the Alps Tour this year, began his round on the 10th tee and went to the turn two-under after his bogey on 17 had cancelled out one of his birdies picked up on 12, 15 and 16.

But the Swindon ace then picked up two more shots on three and seven before requiring a birdie on the ninth to cancel out his second bogey of the day on the eighth hole.
