A STEADY third round kept Cumberwell Park golfer Laurie Canter in touch with the top 30 at the Australian PGA Championship in Queensland .
The 26 year old, from the Bradford on Avon club, moved 14 places up the leaderboard at the RACV Royal Pines resort on the Gold Coast after carding a one over par round of 73 in this morning's third round.
The European Tour new boy bogeyed the seventh hole but immediately got back on level terms as he birdied the eighth.
Only one further shot, at the long 12th, was dropped as Canter finished his round at six over par overall.
Three players share the lead going into the final day tomorrow.
American Harold Varner III and South African pair Dylan Frittelli and Zander Lombard hold a two-shot lead over the rest of the field on three under par.
