BEN Stow delivered a second fine Wiltshire performance on the Challenge Tour in a row as he finished second at the at the Challenge de Madrid event yesterday.

Stow, who is from East Knoyle, near Warminster, set the pace on day four in the Spanish capital after signing for a four under par 66 to reach seven under par overall to secure his best finish on the tour since touring pro last year.

Duncan Stewart eventually claimed an emphatic maiden victory on the European Challenge Tour after picking up five birdies on the way to carding his own four under par 66.

Rushmore ace Stow, 24, had finished tied fifth in the Red Sea Challenge in Egypt a week earlier, an event won by fellow Wiltshire player Jordan Smith (Bowood).

Smith was tied 36th in Madrid, while Wrag Barn's Josh Loughrey was tied 58th on 10 over par.
