MOST shots that bend off line are caused by hitting across the golf ball in some manner.

By matching the shape of your swing both in the back swing and the through swing you will reduce the amount of hitting across the golf ball.

For example, if you swing your arms above you shoulders in your back swing you must make sure you swing your arms above your shoulders in the through swing.

If you don’t do this and swing your arms level with your shoulders or lower in the through swing you will hit across the ball and possibly create side spin on the ball to the right hand side.

If you are a player who swings their arms upright you would do well to stand a little upright to help you do this.

Equally if you swing your arms along the line of your shoulders or lower you should do the same in the through swing, swing your arms level to or below your shoulders.

If you don’t do this and swing your arms high in the through swing you will hit around the ball and possibly create side spin to the left.

If you are a player who swings the club lower around your body you would do well to bend over more to the ball to help you do this.
