WEST Wilts began their season with a hard-fought 3-2 at Devizes.

Wilts got off to a fine start, however it was the hosts who drew first blood, despite the visiting keeper making the initial save.

The visitors quickly regained control as Mark Brother deflected the ball into the roof of the net after being picked out on the far post.

West Wilts gained the upper hand early in the second half when James Baker sent the Devizes keeper the wrong way with a penalty stroke.

Although both teams had players sent to the sin bin, it was Devizes who took advantage and grabbed an equaliser.

Despite the pressure, West Wilts continued to battle hard and with only minutes left, Craig Killminster was able to win the ball on the halfway line and score an incredible solo goal.
