CHIPPENHAM were held to their second successive 2-2 draw in West Clubs League Premier Division Two.
After early pressure, Sue Doel managed to open the scoring for Chippenham, gathering up a rebound set up by Tracy Davies.
Newent responded quickly, scoring a goal from a short corner and the teams were still level going into the second half.
The Wiltshire side changed tactics after the break and forced a succession of short corners.
Chippenham captain Fiona Wanliss finally put her side back into the lead, with a straight strike from one such set piece, but once again, Newent levelled.
