HOCKEY: Taunton boost for ladies

CHIPPENHAM Ladies had a mixed weekend as they continued their bid to pull away from relegation danger in West Clubs League Premier Division Two.
Their opening match ended in a 3-2 defeat to Yeovil Ladies, despite the visitors dominating much of the encounter and scoring through Becky Roberts and Tracy Davies.
At Taunton Ladies in the second match, Sharon Thomas and Sabina Falcone netted to hand Chippenham a crucial victory.
CHIPPENHAM Ladies 4th were defeated 4-0 by North Wilts Ladies in Wessex Division Two.
