WEST Wilts 3rds need just one point from their next game against City of Bath to secure the league title.
They went into Saturday's local derby knowing they were already promoted to the Avon League for next season.
After a short delay waiting for the Wilts goalkeeper to arrive from a previous umpiring commitment, West Wilts were soon into their stride and put the visitors under pressure.
Nick Moon put West Wilts in front and Rich Robson added a second from a short corner strike to put them 2-0 up at the break.
Adam Way then added another goal to his already impressive tally for the season.
Scott McCabe linked well with Kevin Murphy and Nick Sharp down the right, while Andy Frost and Ian Phillips took control of the left hand side of the pitch.
Devizes managed a consolation goal after Andy Frost had previously saved and cleared off his own goal line.
Playing with the sun on their backs should have made it easier for Wilts to pick their passes, instead it led them to take their foot off the pedal and not push home what should have been a more comfortable win.
