Bowerhill and Minster schools share trophy
 |
| The team from Bowerhill Primary School, Melksham and Minster Primary School, Warminster |
TEN primary schools from all over West Wiltshire took part in a hockey
tournament at Kingdown School, Warminster.
Young volunteers from Kingdown and officials from West Wiltshire Hockey Club
umpired all the matches.
The teams were split into two pools of five and the two pool winners went on
to the final. Most of the games were very close, but there were two clear
league winners.
The final was between Bowerhill Primary School from Melksham and Minster
Primary School from Warminster.
Bowerhill scored an early goal but just before the end of the match, after a
period of prolonged pressure, Minster scored the equaliser.
The two teams shared the trophy and both will represent West Wiltshire at
the county finals on May 19.
