City of Bath C 0, West Wilts 3rds 4

WEST Wilts 3rds secured their league crown with this comfortable away victory.

Already sure of promotion, West Wilts started brightly and soon had Bath under pressure and it was only good defending and goalkeeping from Bath that kept them out.

West Wilts finally had a break when a penalty stroke was awarded well into the first half which enabled Adam Way to score from the spot, leaving him only two goals from achieving the prestigious top gun' award.

West Wilts continued to force Bath back through some excellent hockey and dazzling runs from Scott McCabe but still only managed to finish the half 1-0 up.

The second half was a much more open game, with both side having chances, although West Wilts were not as fluent as in the first half. They did manage to finish the game off in style with a fine hat-trick by in-form centre forward Nick Moon.

West Wilts can now enjoy their last league match of the season, which is at home to Chippenham, this coming Saturday.
