West Wilts juniors make tournament debut

WEST Wilts under nines competed in the Bath Buccs under nines tournament.

Playing their first match together, West Wilts started a little in awe of a strong Bath Buccs side. Femka, Haydn, Annabel, Ralph and Kieran, playing their first ever West Wilts matches, eventually lost 2-0, but it was far from a dull performance.

West Wilts sprang back in their second match against the eventual finalists City of Bath, and were 2-0 up due to some fabulous goalkeeping from Ralph and two goals from Charles. Unfortunately being a player down, the team tired towards the end of the game and City of Bath managed an equaliser seconds from full time.

Their final match against Chippenham was a lively affair with many a shot saved or hit wide. Eventually Annabel's determination in the D rewarded the team with a goal to win the match.
