West Wilts Mixed 1, Peelers 0
WEST Wilts gained a narrow win in a competitive but friendly match against
Bristol-based Peelers.
Wilts took control of game early on, with Dan Sheppard and Shah Aissaoui
playing the ball effectively round the opposition, followed up by some
strong goal-crosses from Martin Allsop and run-ins from Nicci Foster.
Millie Cornish and Olivia Evans provided good support roles out in the
midfield channels and Robert Kerr-Bonner made some strong centre runs from
the 25 yard line.
Wilts had several chances to score but hit the back of net just once, from
Shah Aissaoui as a result of some well-worked link passing.
Peelers weren't without their breaks but Mark Brothers made some excellent
saves to ensure none of the shots were converted.
