Batsmen have the chance to impress

TOM Morton has had to cry off from Wiltshire's game against Herefordshire on Sunday because South Wilts have a National Knockout Cup game.

We've got to appreciate clubs are still competing in the National Knockout Cup and at the end of the day there's money involved, but players have to realise Wiltshire comes first when the three-day games come along.

We've tried to get a team together with a few senior players and a few young players, but we're scrabbling around at the minute. We wanted to have a good look at Chippenham's Nick Harrison but unfortunately he's got exams.

There's a couple of players who are out of form who need to get some runs and show they are going to be in the picture for the three-day games. It's a bit of a dead rubber for both sides on Sunday but if anyone does well the three-dayers are open to them.
