Bath City FC Academy and Development Centres, a new concept in Youth football is aimed at the best players in the local area who are not already in a Professional Academy but would like to play higher level football.

Bath City FC has recently opened their own Academy for players leaving school at 16. This gives players an opportunity to attend college and play football on an apprentice style scheme for 2 years and will develop the players of the future for Bath City FC and potentially other professional clubs.

Recognizing the need to develop the best players to feed into this opportunity, Bath City FC has paired with Core Soccer Ltd to start the Bath City FC Academy and Development Centre’s aimed at players in school years 7 to 9 (from September).

We aim to take the best local players and through professionally delivered coaching and higher level games make them into the best possible players they can be. It is only through consistently playing and training at a higher standard will you reach your goal of being the best possible footballer you can be.

Players who make it into the Academy would receive structured training sessions each week and will represent Bath City on Saturdays in the Junior Premier League. As the games are on a Saturday, players will still be able to play for their local clubs on a Sunday. The games will be against the likes of Kidderminster Harriers, Oxford United and other large semi pro clubs. This is the level of football between local Sunday leagues and professional academies.

The coaching will be delivered by coaches who have attained or are currently undergoing the UEFA B license as a minimum. Some of our coaches also work and scout for professional clubs so the opportunities for the most talented players are very exciting.

Trials will be conducted over the next 3 weeks commencing Tuesday 16th June at 6.30 pm, at the Bath City Academy training ground details can be found at www.bathfc.com
