MID WILTS YOUTH & MINOR LEAGUE: Alfie's brace does the trick

U9 DIVISION TWO
AFTER a goalless first half Westbury Youth’s Alfie Green found the back of the net twice against Trowbridge Wanderers A for a 2-1 home victory.
U9 DIVISION THREE
CALNE FC started their game against home side Derry Hill United, still looking for their first win since September.
Calne suffered an early blow but were soon back level before taking a 2-1 half time lead.
They looked stronger in the second half, making their chances count and taking their first win at 6-2.
Daniel Goss (3), Louis Austin (2) and man of the match Victor Close scored for Calne.
U9 DIVISION FIVE
BISHOPS Cannings took a 2-0 half-time lead against FC Chippenham, with goals from Adam Edwards and Jack Brown.
Edwards went on to complete his hat-trick after the break with further goals from Brown, Louis Harrop and Nathan Fiddy for a 7-1 result.
However, the goal of the game went to Chippenham for a superb individual effort.
Bishops Cannings named Jack O’Conner as their man of the match.
Trowbridge Town Youth C ran out convincing 8-0 winners at home to clubmates Trowbridge Town Youth D. Harrison Wreyford (2), George Needham (2), Thomas Robins, Oliver Watson (2) and Ben Ramsay scored for Trowbridge C.
U9 DIVISION SIX
WESTBURY Youth Tigers earned their first three points in this half of the season with a 5-0 away win against Bradford Town Youth.
Westbury scored doubles from Harrison Trevor and Christian Hart and an own goal.
U10 BLUE DIVISION
TROWBRIDGE Wanderers A celebrated their first win in seven games after their narrow 2-1 home success against Warminster Highbury A. Luke Woods scored for Highbury.
U10 GREEN DIVISION
HOME side Devizes Town Youth and Castle Combe Colts played out a close game from the start, Combe edging a 1-0 lead at the interval from an own goal.
The half-time pep talk must have worked as Devizes dominated the second half and equalised with a lovely driven shot from Ciaran Webster.
Devizes increased their lead when the Combe keeper stopped a penalty but the loose ball fell to Elliott Forester, who was the quickest to react and poke the ball home.
Melksham started well against Westbury Youth Lions but could not cget around the Westbury defence.
After 15 minutes Melksham’s Ben Wilkins’ corner connected perfectly with Zac Hillier’s for the first goal.
Mahirul Islam’s well-struck shot took a big deflection and looped over the keeper for the second Melksham goal.
After the break Westbury made some inroads into the Melksham box and pulled one back after 23 minutes of teh half.
But eith just five minutes remaining a long ball out from Melksham saw a combination of great one-touch passes through the Westbury defence.
The final pass came from Islam to Wilkins, who found the net, then completed his hat-trick for a 4-1 triumph.
An excellent game of football between home side AFC Corsham Leopards and Marlborough saw the visitors take the lead midway through the first half with a cracking strike into the top corner by Alfie Presley from just outside the box.
Corsham finally equalised on the break, but with just five minutes remaining the ball fell to Presley just past the halfway line and he raced away to score the winner.
U10 RED DIVISION
DEVIZES fielded a slightly weakened side against visitors Trowbridge Wanderers B, but were always in control and won as Sean Mason scored a superb hat-trick for a 3-0 success.
Thomas Harvey and twin brother Matthew scored one apiece giving home side Biddestone a 2-1 lead against Mere, Biddestone eventually winning 3-2.
Home side Melksham Town Robins and Trowbridge Town C drew 1-1, Sam Cook scoring for Trowbridge.
Marlborough Town B took a 1-0 half-time lead before finishing 3-1 winners at Warminster Highbury Blacks, Candler Saer scoring for Highbury.
U10 YELL0W DIVISION
WORTON & Cheverell Wizards dropped points for the first time this season after home side Trowbridge Town Youth beat them 3-1. Alfie Little (2) and Bartek Cieslak scored for Trowbridge.
U11 DIVISION FOUR
MARNLBOROUGH Town Youth started their run-in with a convincing 7-1 win at Warminster Highbury Reds. Jacob Braddell scoring for Highbury.
U12 GREEN DIVISION
LEADERS Devizes Town Youth had a narrow 3-2 home win against bottom-placed Chippenham Town Youth Blue.
Jason Greenage, James Perrott and Luke Hamblin scored for Devizes.
U13 GREEN DIVISION
IN another good performance from Bradford Town Youth, Jake Garland led the way with five of their six goals, Luke Petty scoring the other in their 6-1 win against Calne FC.
Amesbury Juniors Tigers remain nine points clear at the top following their 5-1 home win against Melksham Town Youth Red.
Douglas Bloom (2), Will Andrews, Chris Hill and Jamie Williams scored for Amesbury.
Trowbridge Wanderers were on the wrong side of a 4-1 scoreline at the break against visitors Bemerton Heath Harlequins.
But they stepped up a gear to win 5-4, Kevin Deadman, Elliott Doddington and a hat-trick from Logan Cassidy doing the trick.
U13 RED DIVISION
A TOTAL of 41 goals in just four games were scored in this division.
The most exciting of all the games was played out between Chippenham Town Youth Blue and Mere FC which ended level at 7-7.
AFC Corsham notched up their 12th win on the bounce, running out 6-3 winners against FC Chippenham Youth.
Corsham scored goals through Nathan Baldwin(2), Scott McRae (2) and Ethan Cropper (2).
Avebury and District ran out 7-1 winners at home to Larkhall Athletic with goals from Tom Stevens (4), Jonah Ponting (2) and Anthony Grantham.
U14 RED DIVISION
WESTBURY B and Bishops Cannings played out their second 2-2 draw of the season in a thrilling game at Redland Lane.
An improving Cannings team dominated the first half and took a deserved lead after 15 minutes with a neat finish from Chris Lambert. They doubled their lead just before the break through Bradley Timms.
Westbury reorganised at the break and started the second half strongly.
A Jordan Bishop goal 15 minutes from the end set up an exciting last quarter.
And they were rewarded with 10 minutes remaining when Josh Hill powered home a corner to level the scores at 2-2.
U15 GREEN DIVISION
HOME side Melksham Town Youth and AFC Corsham Leopards cancelled each other out in a 4-4 draw. Troy Hawkes (2), Corey Williams and Ryan Ross scored for Melksham with Kyle Gore, Chris Duddy and Ryan Long (2) replying for Corsham.
Clubmates Calne FC White and Calne FC Yellow played a close game with the Whites taking the three points 5-3. Josh Taylor (2), Caner Ozkya, Harrison Green and Conner Lenon scored for the Whites.
U15 RED DIVISION
BROMHAM moved up into third place following their 7-1 home win against Dilton Rovers, Craig Askew (4), James House (2) and John Slade scoring.
Bradford Town Youth B won their second match on the bounce, 5-2 away to Melksham Park B with goals from Philip Griffith, Tom Killgallen, Tom Wade (2) and Luke Brett.
RON & EDNA SALES U15s LEAGUE CUP
HAT-TRIACKS from Jamie Collinson and Danny Kidd helped home side Devizes Town Youth to a convincing 10-0 home win against Melksham Park.
Devizes also scored goals through James Dunford (2), Jack Bramwell and Josh Thompson.
U16 RED DIVISION
TROWBRIDGE Wanderers 2nds took a 5-1 half-time lead against under-strength nine-man Chippenham Town Blue.
Chippenham battled on until the final whistle but could not hold back an attacking Wanderers, who finished 16-1 winners.
Nathan Osbaldeston scored 10 goals, Jack Bryant (3), Jack Lamfear, Chris Strange and Jason Lucas the others.
U17 BLUE DIVISION
WARMINSTER Highbury took a 7-0 half-time lead against FC Chippenham before going on to finish 15-0 winners.
Highbury scored goals through Chikiah Douglas (3), Joe Dufosee (3), Alex Smith (2), Henry Hayford-Taylor (2), Ali Rose (2), Matt Russell, Tom Reynolds and Tom Golledge.
Worton & Cheverell ran out convincing 8-0 winners away to Derry Hill United with goals from Maverick Drewett (2), Dan Moore (4) and Ben Forester (2).
