HANNAH Miley declared herself delighted with her London 2012 efforts after finishing seventh in tonight’s 200m individual medley final.

The Swindon-born flyer, who was fifth in the 400m individual medley on Saturday, was unable to overcome the big guns in her weaker event.

Chinese sensation Shiwen Ye took gold in a new Olympic record of 2:07.57, with Miley back on 2:11.29.

But the Brit said afterwards: “I’m so happy I was able to make another final.

“I would have loved to have gone two minutes 10 (seconds), or faster than the semis, but it was only 0.4 slower so it’s pleasing.

“I’m really chuffed with how this meet’s gone, it’s been so much better than Beijing.

“As a swimmer I’ve loved every single moment of it. It’s been wonderful.”
