Lavington put pressure on leaders

Luke Gorham Luke Gorham

Lavington moved into second spot, only two points behind leaders The Eleven Statues, after they recorded a 4-2 win away at the Anchor and Hope.

The hosts got off to a good start as they scored from the penalty spot after only three minutes, Alex Huscroft sending the Lavington goalkeeper the wrong way.

Lavington then struck back through Luke Gorham before Rob Jenks gave them a 2-1 lead at the break.

The second period started the same as the first, with Anchor and Hope being awarded a penalty, the result also being the same, Huscroft scoring in the opposite corner as to the one in the first.

Rob Jenks scored his second midway through the half to restore Lavington's lead before Jamie Bayes completed the scoring.
