Frome Town Sports are through to the second round of the Pied Piper Promotions sponsored A & B Cup after beating Great Western 3-1 in their delayed first round replay at Gypsy Lane.

The home side took an early lead through Damien Edwards after a mix-up in the Great Western defence.

Midway through the half the lead was then doubled thanks to a close range effort from Joe Upshall.

The second half saw an improvement for Great Western as they pulled a goal back with only five minutes gone. The match then settled down into a period of stalemate with defences coming out on top. Frome finally broke through for a third time with ten minutes to go, Peter Sturman getting the goal.
