Trowbridge Wanderers booked their place in the final of the AM Print and Copy of Westbury-sponsored Spring Cup with a 4-1 away win over Mere Town Youth.

The visitors got off to the better start and found themselves a goal to the good after six minutes, Mark Reynolds getting the all-important touch.

It became 2-0 on the stroke of half-time as Dave Thomas scored.

With the second half only a few minutes old, Mere found themselves back in the match as Ben Strong scored to make it 2-1.

Mere were then caught on the break going in search of for the equaliser as Dave Thomas scored his second and Trowbridge's third goal. With full time fast approaching Tom Barnett sealed Trowbridge's victory with a fourth goal.

Seend United Reserves 1, Bromham Reserves 4

SEEND United Reserves took on Bromham Reserves in the second semi-final and got off to the perfect start after only four minutes by taking the lead through Dan Humphries.

Three minutes later the match was all-square after Mike Trego equalised.

After 23 minutes Seend's Dave Castle went into the referee's book for deliberately kicking the ball away.

The rest of the first half was played out with the wind coming out on top and the teams went in level at the interval.

The second half started much as the first half had ended, with the wind doing its best to dominate the match. With both teams learning that it was better to keep the ball on the ground, Bromham began to take control and after 66 minutes found themselves in front as Dan Fennell scored to make it 2-1.

Seven minutes later it was 3-1 as Jack Fisher netted. Fisher then made it 4-1 after 75 minutes to put the game beyond Seend's reach.

After 80 minutes Seend had the ball in the Bromham goal, only for it to be ruled out by the assistant referee's offside flag. Seend then played out the last six minutes with ten men as substitute Marcus Underwood was dismissed for swearing at the referee.

On the stroke of full-time Bromham's captain Jason Cole found himself in the ref's notebook for a late challenge on a Seend player.

The two minutes of stoppage time were played out with no further incident and Bromham progress to the final.
