DIVISION TWO: Bratton's chances of finishing second took a knock as they lost 5-1 away to midtable Anchor and Hope.

Lewis Stillman opened the scoring for Anchor and Hope, but by half-time Bratton had scored to level the match. The second period saw Anchor and Hope dominate the match and score four unanswered goals, through Lewis Hillman, Adil Bakali and Sami Bakali.

Heytesbury 5, The Lamb Inn 1

THE Lamb Inn completed the season as the only team not to record a league victory as they went down 5-1 at Heytesbury.

By half-time Heytesbury had a commanding 5-0 lead, with goals from Lee Kennedy (3) and James Vincent (2).

The second period saw The Lamb score their consolation goal through Ian Thompson.

Mere Town 1, Lavington 6

CHAMPIONS-elect Lavington brushed aside the challenge of Mere Town by 6-1.

Mere made the better start and found themselves a goal to the good after six minutes through Dean Haskett.

This seemed to kick start goal machine Myles Hickton into action and by half-time he had completed his hat-trick to make it 3-1.

The second half saw a further goal from Hickton before a brace from Jamie Bayes sealed the final score.

Semington Magpies 12, St Andrews Winsley 1

SEMINGTON remain the only team with a realistic chance of stopping Lavington from winning the title and they kept up the pressure by thumping St Andrews Winsley 12-1.

Stuart Barber scored first for Semington to open the floodgates and Ricky King made it 2-0 inside five minutes.

Goal three came from Richard Allum on 20 minutes before Matthew Russell tapped in number four. Mark James then scored goals five and six just before the interval.

The second period continued in the same vein as the first, with Semington scoring at will. Dan Rimmer scored goal number seven with the half only minutes old before Winsley pulled a goal back through Ed Zedlewski to make it 7-1.

This however didn't stop the goal flow from Semington and they made it 8-1 with a goal from Andy Harrison. A quick brace from Dan Rimmer completed his hat-trick and made it 10-1 with ten minutes to go. And Harrison then also completed his hat-trick with two goals to make the final score 12-1.

The Eleven Statues 2, Westbury United A 5

WESTBURY United moved into third spot after securing a 5-2 victory away to The Eleven Statues.

The visitors got off to a perfect start by going 1-0 up after three minutes through Chris Storey.

After ten minutes an injury forced The Statues to bring on their only substitute, Christian Sparey.

The game then settled down, with both teams searching for a goal and on 31 minutes The Statues got their equaliser with a long clearance from defence which took one bounce over a Westbury defender and was latched onto by Dan Walker whose shot gave the Westbury keeper no chance.

With the first half drawing to a close The Eleven Statues had a chance to take the lead but Matthew Allcott decided it was easier to dive in the hope of getting a penalty rather than shooting on goal.

He received a yellow card for his troubles.

The second half saw Westbury regain the lead after 54 minutes, Chris Storey netting his second and starting the demise of the Statues.

After 62 minutes, after giving a drop ball, the referee had cause to caution Sean Kirtley for dissent which lead in turn to Kevin Baker, The Statues goalkeeper being sent off for foul language.

Five minutes later The Eleven Statues were down to nine as they lost another player, this time through a suspected broken ankle.

The nine players then started a fight back and hit yet another equaliser on 72 minutes through John Walters.

Westbury then made the superior numbers tell and made it 3-2 with Kieran Stone scoring. It became 4-2 in the 89th minute as Steve Seals scored and the final goal came in the fourth minute of stoppage time through substitute Jamie Howse.
