Steeple Ashton remain third in the table despite suffering a
3-2 defeat at home against Freshford United.
Marc Sheppard gave the home side the perfect start as he scored after six
minutes to give them the lead. Freshford then clawed their way back into
the match and on the half hour mark equalised as Tom Armstrong scored.
The second half started at a blistering pace, with both teams going close to
scoring a second goal which came from Freshford's Mark Birleson. It became
3-1 as Tom Armstrong scored on the hour.
Not to be outdone Steeple Ashton continued to push for their second goal
which came with five minutes left as Sam Stevens scored a solo effort, but
it was not enough to stop Freshford winning.
The Deverills 2, Frome Town Sports 1
THE Deverills leapfrogged their opponents in the table thanks to this
victory.
Mike Payne scored The Deverills' first half goal, but with the second half
only a few minutes old Frome Town Sports found themselves on level terms as
Ashley Doel netted.

The match seemed to be heading for a draw when Scott Gallazi popped up with
five minutes to go to seal the win for The Deverills.
